Jeff Bridges has lymph node cancer, the actor said on Tuesday Twitter. Seventy-year-old Bridges says the prognosis is good.
“There is new shit on the ball,” Bridges begins his message. With that statement, the actor refers to ‘The Dude’, the character from The Big Lebowski (1998) with which he gained great fame. Before that he had been active as an actor for over forty years, in films such as Tron, The Fabulous Baker Boys and The Vanishing.
“Although it is a serious disease, I feel blessed with a great team of doctors and a good prognosis,” said Bridges. He also says that he is grateful for the support of his family and friends.
Bridges promises to keep its followers informed of the further process. “And now that I have your attention: please don’t forget to vote.”
It is not known whether the shooting of the miniseries The Old Man, in which Bridges plays a role, have already been completed. His most recent film role dates back to 2018, in the crime film Bad Times at the El Royale.
