Ronaldo tests positive for coronavirus and misses game from Portugal | NOW

Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for the corona virus. The Portuguese Football Association reports on Tuesday that the Juventus superstar has no complaints.

The 35-year-old Ronaldo is in isolation and will not participate in the Nations League game of Portugal against Sweden on Wednesday evening.

The other internationals from Portugal were tested again on Tuesday morning and those results were all negative. They were therefore allowed to train in the afternoon and will be available for the game with Sweden on Wednesday (8.45 pm in Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon).

Ronaldo played his 167th international match in the Nations League match on a visit to France (0-0) last Sunday. Last Wednesday, Portugal’s all-time top scorer (101 goals) participated for 73 minutes in the exhibition game with Spain (0-0).

Juventus will continue the Serie A on Saturday with an away match against Crotone and the Champions League will start next Tuesday with a visit to Dynamo Kyiv. It is still unclear whether Ronaldo should also miss those duels.
