Racing Point driver Lance Stroll also had corona

In the usual tests towards the Grand Prix of the Eifel at the Nürburgring, Stroll also tested negative. On Saturday morning he did not feel well and followed the protocol of the motorsport federation FIA, by isolating himself in his motorhome and not entering the paddock. Stroll turned out not to be fit enough to race and was replaced at the last minute by Nico Hülkenberg.

The Canadian reports on his Instagram page that he has already flown home on Sunday morning, before the race in Germany. He was not tested again until Sunday evening and a day later the result of that test turned out to be positive. Stroll then went into quarantine for ten days. “Fortunately my symptoms were fairly mild,” said the driver. “I was tested again last Monday and the result was negative. I feel really good now and can’t wait to be back with the team and race in Portugal. ”
