For months, protesters in Belarus have been taking to the streets to demonstrate against President Alexander Lukashenko. He won those elections with more than 80 percent of the vote, but almost everyone agrees that there must be electoral fraud. Will Lukashenko survive the protests, or is his end as the country’s leader on the way? We ask Wim van Meurs, professor of European political history at Radboud University.
