New on Videoland: these films and series were released last week | NOW

A fantasy film by Steven Spielberg, a biopic about American rap icons and a popular Christmas classic have all appeared on Videoland this week. See below which titles the streaming service recently added.


The Guilt Trip
For his drive from New York to Los Angeles, Andy (Seth Rogen) decides to take his single mother (Barbra Streisand) with him, planning to finally help her find a new love. However, the long journey of mother and son in this comedy does not go as smoothly as Andy had hoped.

Love Actually
After Amazon Prime, Videoland now also has this romantic Christmas classic on offer. Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, Keira Knightley and Emma Thompson play key roles in a variety of comedic and moving storylines set around the festive season in London.

Steven Spielberg filmed this book classic by Roald Dahl, about an orphaned girl who is suddenly plucked out of bed at night by the Great Friendly Giant. She is taken to his world, where the two become friends while trying to protect the world from more dangerous giants.

Straight Outta Compton
This biographical film is about the rise of hip-hop group NWA in the eighties and nineties. Members Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Easy E, DJ Yella and MC Ren live in a dangerous neighborhood, and express their frustrations in rap lyrics that have become iconic. O’Shea Jackson plays the younger version of his own father, Ice Cube.


Day Sinterklaas
Children are answered questions about Sinterklaas and his helpers, in this remake of the Flemish television series from the 1990s. Wim Opbrouck plays the title role this time. It is directed by Stijn Coninx, known for his Oscar-nominated drama Daens.
