Shortly before actress Naya Rivera passed away in July last year, she voiced the role of Catwoman for the new animated film Batman: The Long Halloween, writes The Wrap. As far as is known, it is the last role she worked on.
According to studio DC, Rivera had already recorded all her text and the makers did not have to make any changes. The film is the first of two parts, it is not yet clear whether the character of the Gleeactress returns in a sequel.
Jensen Ackles from Supernatural voiced the role of Bruce Wayne and his alter ego Batman for the film and Josh Duhamel can be heard in the film as Harvey Dent. Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One doesn’t have a release date yet, but will likely be out in spring or summer.
Rivera, who turned 33, drowned while on a boat ride on Lake Piru near Los Angeles. She had been missing for days after her four-year-old son was found alone on the boat. The boy was able to tell the police that the two were swimming when the boat started to rock in the wind. The actress managed to get her son on board but disappeared under water herself.
