Verstappen was taken to hospital after his violent crash at Silverstone, to undergo a CT scan, among other things. The results took a while. At the end of the evening, after all the checks, it turned out that he had the green light to leave the hospital. Earlier it appeared that Verstappen had not broken anything.
Red Bull confirms on social media that he was allowed to leave the hospital at 10 p.m. (11 p.m. Dutch time). “Max and the team would like to thank the Marshalls at the track and the medical staff for their exceptional care. Both at the Silverstone circuit and at Coventry Hospital.”
The World Cup leader crashed after being tapped by Lewis Hamilton. Although the Briton was given a ten-second time penalty, he won the race in front of his home crowd. Verstappen’s lead in the World Cup position is now eight points.
