Kim Cattrall not replaced in sequel Sex and the City, no fourth lead | NOW

In the sequel of Sex and the City protagonist Kim Cattrall will definitely not be replaced, Sarah Jessica Parker confirms TMZ. Last week it was announced that a sequel to the popular series, without Cattrall in the role of Samantha Jones.

“We’re not going to come up with a fourth character,” said Parker, who will return in the new series along with Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. “We have the city of New York as a great character. And there will be lots of other characters that we really like.”

Earlier this week, it was announced that the HBO series is being revived. Cattrall doesn’t return because she wouldn’t feel like it. The actress also told in the past that it did not click well with Parker, which she continues to deny to date.

The new series is called And Just Like That …, and focuses on the lives of Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Charlotte York (Davis) and Miranda Hobbes (Nixon). The actresses are now over 50 and have experienced a lot again in love and in their friendship. For now, the recordings will start this spring in New York. Ten episodes of thirty minutes are filmed.

Sex and the City, based on Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name, was on view from 1998 to 2004. Two films were made as sequels in 2008 and 2010.
