‘Formula 1 is again moving to Portimão and Imola this year’

According to the generally well established website, the canceled race weekends will be filled with two races in Europe to reach the record season of 23 races. The Grand Prix at the end of April had to be filled in anyway, because the first race in Vietnam was canceled earlier.

On April 18 there will be another race in Imola in Italy and on May 2 there will be another race in Portimão, Portugal. That will be the second and third race of the season. Both circuits were also on the calendar last year, which was almost completely adjusted due to the corona virus. The Australian Grand Prix must then be held at the very end of the season on November 21. In that case, the Brazilian Grand Prix might be moved forward by a week, to November 7, and would then link directly to races in the United States and Mexico.

The season will open on March 28 at the Bahrain Grand Prix. It is also under discussion whether testing will also move to the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain.
