Bernie Sanders sells sweaters with viral photos for a good cause | NOW

Bernie Sanders has noticed that a photo of him went viral during the inauguration of US President Joe Biden. The politician decided to have the picture printed on sweaters and use it to earn money for a good cause.

The jerseys can be ordered via the official Sanders website. Proceeds will go to Meals on Wheels, a foundation that provides meals for the underprivileged seniors in Vermont, where Sanders is a senator. The sweaters cost 45 dollars, which is about 37 euros.

Sanders’s photo caused hilarity on the internet. In the photo, he is slumped in a chair, dressed in a simple windbreaker with woolen mittens. Many memes were made, where Sanders was pasted into well-known film scenes and paintings.

The popularity of the sweater is already mentioned on the Sanders website. “Due to the overwhelming interest in this item, it can take three to six weeks for your order to hit the mat,” his team warns.
